ABOUT US
Welcome to Middleton Mercantile
My name is Samantha Middleton and along with my brother, Coby Middleton, we thank you for stopping by our little project and wandering around a bit.
Our story: We were born and raised in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, next to the McKenzie River in Springfield, Oregon - part of the breathtakingly beautiful Willamette Valley. Raised by amazing parents on a little farm about fifteen minutes outside of town, we had a wonderful childhood. Cows. Chickens. Puppies. Goats. Pigs. Horses. Our own creek with a waterfall. A beautiful summer garden. A firepit for roasting marshmallows. A short walk down a gravel road is where our grandparents lived and behind them, through the filbert orchard, my great grandparents lived in a glorious turn-of-the-century farmhouse. We are a coupla country kids. We knew all about chores, haying, pick-up trucks, fishing and hunting, canning, manuer and dirt..... It was a much simpler time. We lived a life that cherished family, faith and a hard days' work. And we still do. All those amazing country life memories are alive and well. And although we now find sunny Central Florida our home, we aspire to balance the past with the present, to encourage feelings of authenticity, creativity and warmth that can only be created by embracing our heritage, finding use in things previously used and loved, giving new purpose to the unexpected and inspiring those around us to create their own unique personal style that tells their story.
Middleton Mercantile is a collaborative work in progress and an ongoing compilation of the things that make us the most happy; those things that inspire us... things that bring us home, reflecting a particular place, feeling or memory of the past. We love to handpick vintage finds, repurpose unexpected items and create handcrafted projects that reflect our personal style. And we want to bring these to you cause we think you will love them just as much as we do. We've even thrown in our favorite reproduction market pieces that we think are perfect for giving a home its own unique and unexpected style. It's our hope to inspire you to find meaningful pieces that make you smile and that encourage a connection to your past. Finding items that you truly love will turn your house into a home - where memories are made, loved ones gather and where your story is written. Don't the most cherished pieces in your home tell a story? I hope so...
Happy Storytelling.
